The Jetty
A resin water world — stone shore, still water, and a hand-tied boat
A$55.00
Somewhere quiet, a little boat waits at its mooring.
The Jetty is a small still world built around a single remarkable stone — a quartz-veined stone found in our local creek — its white seam laid down millions of years before anyone thought to tie up a boat beside it. Deep blue water poured in resin laps at its base, wind-bent trees hold the high ground, and below, a timber jetty where a boat is tied up for the evening. The boat's line is knotted by hand, the way all boats should be — nobody's going anywhere tonight, and that's the point of this special piece from my heart.
The stone came first. The world grew around it.
One of a kind. There won't be another — there never is.
Handcrafted in Cairns from resin, quartz veined creek stone and found materials. Ships Australia-wide, carefully packed.
Approximately 12cm × 12cm × 5cm high.
