Our Story

Garden, Gifts & Glass began as a simple dream, born from a deep love for plants, creativity and the untamed beauty of Far North Queensland.

Seven years ago I arrived in Cairns — and this place broke something open in me creatively that I don't think anywhere else ever could. Inspired by the Daintree, the Wet Tropics and the waterways of the tropical north, what started as a love of growing things has become a full creative life. Handcrafted terrariums, living sculptures, natural timber art, resin worlds and FNQ wildlife scenes. Each one made by hand in Cairns, never rushed, never mass produced.

From the living to the permanent. From the botanical to the otherworldly. From a billabong frozen in resin to a crystal garden glowing in the dark.

Every piece carries something of this extraordinary place inside it.

Because this is the place that called to me for years before I finally listened — and the place I will love with my whole being for the rest of my life.

Grown Here . Made Here . Never Taken.

Every plant in your terrarium started life right here in Far North Queensland — grown by me, never taken from the wild. Every piece of driftwood was found, not bought. The living moss grown in my greenhouse.

Not every element is locally sourced — but every single piece contains something that is. A river rock. A branch. Something real from this place is in everything I make, without exception.

Every resin piece, every natural sculpture, every hand painted botanical coaster and board — made by one pair of hands, in one studio, in Clifton Beach, Cairns.

FNQ works are inspired by the forests, rivers, wetlands and wildlife on our doorstep. Never rushed. Never replicated. Never mass produced.

The fantasy and magical pieces are inspired by the child that lives in all of us — the one that still believes in other worlds, in magic, in the possibility that something extraordinary might be hiding just out of sight.

This is not a factory. It's a creative practice built on many decades of creating and growing plants plus seven years of being changed by one of the most extraordinary places on earth.
